Presenting Mr. and Mrs. Cook!

Congratulations Tom and Debbie! They were married in the Nauvoo Illinois temple on Friday, November 24th. I am so happy for them! Tom is my favorite cousin and we have had a blast living close to each other in Provo. But now, he has gone and gotten himself married. Good thing I like Debbie! ;)

I am thankful for...

I love thanksgiving! It is definitely one of my favorite holidays. This year was especially wonderful and I have so many things to be thankful for. Here are just a few...

#1 - My incredible family!! I am so lucky to have such a wonderfully supportive and loving family. I am so grateful for all that they do for me!

#2 - My absolutely amazing missionary sister! Michelle is such an awesome example to me and I am so glad she is my sister! Only 3 1/2 months til she comes home!!

#3 - The cutest nephew in the world! These pictures are from thanksgiving day. He loved my cousin's skateboard and wanted to be big and ride it. What a stud! I love that kid!

#4 - I have the most fabulous friends! I don't know why I have been so lucky to be blessed with the best friends in the world. There are lots more than are in these pictures, but these ones mean a lot to me too. I hope all my friends know how much I love and appreciate them!

and last but not least....

#5 - PIE!!! I love thanksgiving because I love pie! Pumpkin especially, but any kind of pie will do. I made this particular pie the night before thanksgiving with my friend Kim. I was so proud of it because I have never made meringue before and it turned out awesome (besides the edge that got bumped when it was coming out of the oven). Gotta brag a little! ;)

Beat Utah!!!!

GO COUGARS!!
MOUNTAIN WEST CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS!

The Cougars beat New Mexico 42-17 on Saturday to claim the Mountain West Conference championship! It was a great game. New Mexico played tough and forced us to work for this win, but it was exciting none the less. We are now 9-2 for the season and have the biggest game yet to play. It is such a great thing to have won the conference, but it will mean absolutely nothing unless we beat Utah this Saturday. We are playing in Salt Lake and it is going to be tough, but it will make the season that much better to beat them in their stadium. Can't wait for the game! Gotta love Rivalry Week!

GO COUGARS! BEAT THE UTES!

Prophets

The last few weeks have been full of incredible opportunities to listen to the words of prophets. Two weeks ago President Hinckley came and spoke at devotional at BYU and yesterday President Monson came. What amazing men! I am so grateful to know that we have living prophets on the earth to lead and guide us through these hard times. I know they will never lead us astray and I am so grateful to be able to hear their words often.
President Monson said something yesterday that really struck me and I need to really work on. I've realized recently that I think too much about things I've done in the past or how things are going to work out in the future so I don't fully enjoy the present.

President Monson said, "The past is behind - learn from it. The future is ahead - prepare for it. The present is now - we must live in it."

3 Nephi 13:34 - "Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself."

This has become my theme scripture lately as I try to more fully put my faith and trust in the Lord and know that as long as I am doing the things I should and am keeping the commandments everything will work out.

La Familia

Can I just say what a great family I have! We are definitely crazy, but we have so much fun together! A couple weeks ago my mom invited Sean and I out to her house for dinner and games. It was really fun to just spend some time with the fam and hang out. It's pathetic that my parents only live 25 minutes away and I hardly ever go out there. Normally I see them when they are in Provo for football games or family parties at my grandma's house.

After dinner we taught Sean how to play Nertz while we waited for Kyle to get home from his mission prep class. I totally kicked some trash!!!

When Kyle got home we made Halloween witches hats out of a cookie and ice cream cones and then decorated them with frosting and candy. My mom had seen it done on TV and thought they were so cute. It was fun, even if they did turn out a little funky.

I'm not crazy or anything! Just a little hyper from all the sugar!

The incredible fam! (minus Sister Castillo who is still on her mission in the Philippines and Kyle who is taking the picture) Easton, Haley & Landon, me & Sean, Mom & Dad

GO COUGARS!

Last night the BYU Cougars pummeled the Wyoming Cowboys 55-7!!! It was an incredible game and I was able to enjoy it, as always, with incredible friends. I was pretty sure that it was going to be a close game, Wyoming always comes to Provo ready to play...they hate BYU. But when we were ahead 21-0 in the first quarter I realized it might not be as close as I thought. I'm proud of the Cougs though, we have now clinched the Mountain West Conference championship and still have two games to play! GO COUGARS!!!

It was the first night game of the season and the forecast was for temperatures near freezing, but it turned out to be a pretty nice evening. Chilly, but great for football!

Some of my amazing friends...Ward, me, Jenni, Bekah, Summer, Neelam and Tim...lots of fun! And we also have awesome seats! Gotta love being students!

Kim, me and my roommate Rebecca

Tim thinks he is pretty hilarious wearing Neelam's coat. He definitely looks hot in it! ;)

I'm not biased or anything...

I'm not biased or anything, but I definitely think this is one of the cutest little boys in the world! Who could deny it!?! In fact, Sean and I are always have "cutest nephew wars" and I always win. ;) I can't believe that this little man is already 18 months old. Time flies!

For Halloween Easton was a bumble bee, complete with a little stinger. Adorable! (I personally like the spiderman candy bucket that he was carrying around)

One of Easton's favorite things is to play at Grandma and Papa's house. He has them wrapped around his finger. He loves to play with Papa and help Grandma in the kitchen.

Don't you just love Halloween???

Halloween this year was a blast! We had a ward party the Saturday before and we all got dressed up and played musical chairs, bobbing for apples, donuts on a string and all those fun games from when you are a kid. My favorite part though was everyones costumes. There were some great ones!

This is a picture of me and my roommates AJ and Becca. Becca is a little girl and AJ is "your mom" - everytime someone would ask her who she was she would say, "your mom!" hilarious!

My friend Chase dressed as Ronald McDonald and honestly, it took me about five minutes to figure out that it was Chase. The only way I figured out it was him was when I saw his girlfriend with him. He even had the big shoes to finish off the outfit!

Some girls from my ward at the party....
Whitney, me, Rachel, Kim, Becca and Emma

Honestly, I hate this picture of me, but I thought it was so funny. This is my friend Aaron dressed as Tigger. He is a big BYU football player and to see him dressed in that costume was so awesome. I look retarded because I was laughing so hard, but isn't Aaron cute??!!

Here it goes...

My friend from work, Sarah is always blogging and I have gotten a little jealous. So here it is...I've started my own blog. Actually, I am hoping it will be a good way to keep in touch with people that I don't get to see or talk to very often. I love seeing the pictures that Jamie and Brian post on their blog and hope that you will all enjoy viewing the crazy things that go on in my life. So, without futher adieu...here it goes...
